‘Selamat Pagi’ means Good Morning in the Indonesian language. I change the first alphabet, as my nickname starts with Z.
I am Zakki. I was born in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra, Indonesia. I spent my teenage years in Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia, studied and worked. In 2014, I got a scholarship from the Turkish government (YTB) and lived in Istanbul, Turkey for 1,5 years. I moved to the United Kingdom in 2016 after receiving LPDP scholarship from the Indonesian government to study in the University of Leeds. Graduated with a Master’s Degree in International Business, I worked in the UK and lived there for two years. Currently, I am working and living in the Netherlands.
In this blog, I write, mostly about my survival journey as a digital diary. It is also a reminder when I wake up in the morning that there are times to struggle, learn and grow and there are times to enjoy, be grateful and celebrate.
